Cleaning Weekend
04/25/2005
Unfortunately when we got her she was full of mud and water and other assorted debris. Here are the pictures of her before I started cleaning. The dog you see in some of the pictures is Tasha.
I cleaned her with my handy pressure washer, would recommend using full rain gear for doing the inside. Filled my 20 gallon wet dry vacuum twice with mud. I it best to leave it on the ground and get a long hose, I had a hard time getting it out of the cockpit after it was full the first time.
After I cleared her this is what she looked like.
Of course you never get a boat for this price without any damage. Besides all the rigging, keel, rudder, and the interior missing I found the following problems that I will have to repair. Fortunately I have some experience working with fiberglass.
Two
of the bolts that attach the keel have been sheered off.

The bow pulpit is practically destroyed, someone hooked the trailer pull up
cable around it.

She took a hard grounding at some point, from the numerous scars on the bottom she went in on the rocks.
There is some damage to the bottom
glass on the inside in the V berth about 18 inches forward of the keel trunk.
